We all need a haven - somewhere to retreat from the chaos of everyday life, recharge, and find a moment of calm. Whether you're a dedicated puzzler or simply looking for a mindful hobby to help you slow down, Ravensburger's My Haven range was made for exactly that.

The My Haven range is a series of 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles illustrated by British artist Steve Read. Each puzzle depicts a cosy corner of the world where life slows down, drawn in Steve's warm, characterful style.

And there's a whole range of scenes to escape into - from a cosy tea house complete with a cuppa and a scone, to a well-loved garden shed packed with bulbs, seeds, and half-finished sketches, to a cosy beach hut, filled with everything you’d need for the perfect day at the coast. Whatever your idea of a perfect haven, there's sure to be one that feels like it was made for you.

And because it's Ravensburger, the puzzling experience is as calming as the scenes themselves. Every jigsaw is printed on extra-thick cardboard with a fine linen finish that eliminates glare, so you can lose yourself in every detail of your perfect haven as every piece clicks satisfyingly into place.

Why jigsaw puzzles are the perfect mindful activity

Mindfulness is all about bringing your attention to the present moment. That sounds simple, but in practice it can be quite a challenge.

Although mindfulness is about doing less with your mind, doing something with your hands is often the best way to get there. This is where mindful activities come in - simple, absorbing tasks that anchor your attention in the here and now. And piecing together a puzzle is one of the best mindful activities there is, requiring you to slow down and focus on a single task that can help to silence a busy mind.

It's a natural stress reliever too. There's no pressure, no timer, and no failure - just the simple, satisfying rhythm of sorting, searching, and clicking pieces into place. And in a world where it's increasingly hard to put your phone down, a jigsaw offers hours of absorbing, screen free entertainment that gives your eyes and mind a real break. If you're a lifelong puzzler or just discovering the joy of slowing down, the My Haven range is the perfect way to find a moment of peace in an otherwise busy world.
