Schlossbau in Burgund

Rating 5 out of 5 stars.
Absolute Empfehlung!

Castle building in Burgundy

Rating 5 out of 5 stars.
I'll be brief and just give a short pros and cons list for Stefan Feld's classic, which we unfortunately only discovered very late. Pros: - Almost 100% tactical, luck only plays a subordinate role here. - New edition with all expansions and additional game modes, e.g. a team mode. - Very good, understandable rules and instructions. - incredibly elegant gameplay with little downtime. - More beginner-friendly than expected. Easy to learn, difficult to master. - Visually reworked... Contra: - ...but still incredibly ugly and confusing. - Families might be put off by the scope at first. - can be an evening's work with brooding players. Conclusion: if the game were more visually appealing, it would probably have an even bigger fan base. Nevertheless, Castles of Burgundy is a must-have for frequent players! Anyone who owns the old version should also consider buying the new edition, as all the expansions and additional modes increase the replay value enormously. Whether you want to pay the price for so many tiles is up to you. We now play it up and down and it will definitely remain in our collection. An absolute recommendation!
