Personalised Children's Puzzle
Your Questions Answered
What's the difference between the 24-piece puzzle and the 24-piece Mammut (XXL) puzzle?
The standard 24-piece puzzle has regular-sized pieces and measures approximately 18 x 24 cm when complete. It comes in a personalised tin and works well as a traditional jigsaw.
The Mammut version also has 24 pieces, but each piece is substantially larger—about 20 x 17 cm. The completed puzzle measures 69 x 49 cm, making it large enough to use as a play mat on the floor. Once assembled, children can drive toy cars across it or use it as scenery for imaginative play. The Mammut comes in a cardboard box rather than a tin.
What age are these puzzles suitable for?
All three puzzles are recommended from age 4 upwards.
The 24-piece Mammut works well for younger children in this age range. The larger pieces are easier for small hands to grip and manipulate.
The standard 24-piece puzzle suits children from 4 onwards, though it requires slightly more dexterity than the Mammut version.
The 49-piece version is best for children at the older end of the range—typically five or six upwards—as it requires more sustained concentration.
What image resolution do I need?
At least 2000 x 2000 pixels for good quality reproduction. The design tool shows you a preview before you confirm the order, so you'll see if your image looks sharp or pixelated.
Images that are too low resolution will appear blurry when printed on the puzzle pieces.
What makes a good photograph for a children's puzzle?
Close-ups work better than distant shots. If you're photographing people, aim for 3 to 5 individuals maximum—more than that and faces become too small to distinguish clearly on the pieces.
Good natural light helps. Outdoor photographs generally translate better than indoor ones, unless you've got strong, even lighting.
Scenes with variety in colour and pattern are easier for children to puzzle. A photograph of someone wearing a plain jumper against a plain wall offers fewer visual clues than a garden scene or beach photograph.
Can I see what the puzzle will look like before ordering?
Yes. The design tool shows you exactly how your photograph will appear on the puzzle, including the tin lid or box. You can adjust the crop and positioning before confirming.
